Hi There,

So I thought I would do a bit of an update on life, I will be 23 next month which I am excited about! Growing up is so hard, no one really tells you this when your young. Buying a house, having anything that you have to look after like pets, plants, a house or a car is just such a big thing! We have been in our house for over a year now and we are renovating, it's been slow going but we have so much time that it doesn't matter. I love being able to do whatever I want with my house, I could randomly rip my carpet up and no one could say anything.

I have lost 21Kg so far, I did 10km on my bike yesterday in 22min! That is a huge achievement for me since 9 months ago walking around the shops wore me out! I feel so motivated to loose more now that I have reached the 20kg milestone. I have a new job! My new workplace is competing in a local 10km run/walk and I am pumped that I will actually be able to do it!

I love my new workplace it's so positive and I really enjoy going to work now! I feel like I fit in so well and don't have to try, I can just be myself and they accept me! I am a big believer in being yourself and being proud of who you are but when you work with people who are always putting you down and making you feel like your hard to be around you can sometimes loose sight of that. This was such a big hurdle for me, i've been so scared to leave my comfort zone and branch out. I feel like the universe gave me a nice little nudge in the right direction!

My partner and I have been together 4 and a half years now and I truely couldn't imagine life without him, he does the sweetest things like cooking my favourite tea and bringing home my favourite snacks. He is very supportive of my weight loss and helps motivate me without making me feel like I am unattractive. I don't think we will have kids for a while yet, it's just such a huge responsibility and I just love being able to spend my sundays reading and going for walks!

Well thats all for now <3

Book Review

Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

This was a fantastic sequel, I love the journey it took me on and the new characters!
Gatlin and the world we had come to know in Beautiful Creatures was widened in this sequel, and I feel like I understand their world and the caster characters so well because of this.
Amma is such an incredible character she is so strong and makes everything feel safe (for the most part), I also love that Lila was explained more in this book and that we learn so much about her. I kind of wish Ethans dad was included more but I understand why he isn't and also wonder if he will be in the next books more?!? I just adore Link I think he's so cute and makes the story better!
I feel really satisfied after reading this and can't wait to read Beautiful Chaos.
The ending was so exciting, I really love how everyone ended up (even though im sure it will change in Beautiful Chaos). I highly recommend reading this series!

First blog eeeeek

Hi there,
I guess the best way to start is introductions!

My name's Kahli, i'm just an average 22 year old girl wanting to share some of my daily life and experience with you all! I'm a hairdresser from Australia, I love to read and am forever gathering info to tuck away. I always wanted to be a hairdresser, it just seemed like the right path for me... and it was! I love it, I also love makeup and would one day like to go back and do beauty/makeup to add to my trade. I am currently trying to turn my life around with a healthy diet and exercise, i've been at it around 6 months and am currently 14kg down and feeling better with every passing day! My partner and I have been together 4 years and have recently started buying our first home.
We have 2 dogs Meggy and Rex, 2 cats Bella and Slimjim (I know, I know what sort of name is Slimjim? It was my partners pick and he's not gonna get much say when we have kids i assure you). We also have 3 turbo chooks (native hens) who are in our back yard most days and a whole lot of wildlife like Possoms and Wallabys who come to steal fruit from our fruit trees. I've always wanted a teacup pig and one day i'll finally win and get one but at the moment Meggy's still settling in and she doesn't quite know what to do with the cats so I think we'll have to wait.
All our animals are special to us, my partner has had Rex for years and he's getting old. He's a Border Collie x Kelpie and he's about 14, he's a little deaf but he's going pretty strong for an old fella. Bella was the next addition and he got her just before we met so she was only a kitten. At first we weren't to sure of each other but now I couldn't see life without her. Slimjim was one of her kittens that we kept and he's a bit of a nutter!! And then there's Meg, she came to us from the dogs home. We don't know too much about her other then she is a German Shep x (we believe she has healer). She's a beautiful big oaf with the sookiest face you'll ever see. Meg's been with us around 6 months now and she made herslef at home from the day she got here.

Well I guess that's a nice start so I think i'll leave that for now and maybe start tomorrow with a Book review :)
